As terrorist threat increases around the world, the security of public places is becoming crucial. However, it is not easy to protect public places such as airports, railway stations, stadiums, and event halls without causing stress or inconvenience. We have developed a high-resolution millimeter-wave imaging radar to detect suspicious objects without interrupting the flow of people. The modularized radar provides flexibility and scalability since multiple modules can be joined like building blocks. This makes the new radar suitable for walk-through inspection. It embodies a new concept of security that offers both security and convenience.
