The liquid crystal technology ShadeTronic® is unique and adapts to changing light conditions within seconds. The way ShadeTronic® works is based on LCD technology. A solar chip above the nose piece, which reacts to infrared light, makes it possible for the lenses to react automatically in a fraction of a second. The lenses are brightened or darkened depending on the ambient conditions. With this intelligent sensor system, the glasses change their tint independently and continuously, in a lightning-fast 0.1 seconds. The range of tints extends from protection class 2 to 4.
