This mobile robot integrates laser radar, IMU data and TWO-DIMENSIONAL code map to achieve high-precision indoor positioning and navigation control. With a final positioning accuracy of 5mm, the robot can accurately manoeuvre to the targeted cabinet position.
For high precision operation, the innovative design of the double soft- adaptive mechanism positioning in the push-pull client and server-side employs a distal compliant central organisation. This can accommodate both translation and angular positioning errors at the same time, while moving up and down the rack reliably and quickly.
In terms of compactness and efficiency, the overall scheme is innovatively designed in accordance with the environmental characteristics of an IDC room. The chassis of the entire robot utilises a Z type design and an omnidirectional steering wheel group design with adjustable suspension, which not only meets the server’s high load demand but also adapts independently to the uneven ground in the room. A two-stage lifting mechanism and a push-pull stroke amplification mechanism are used to improve stability while maintaining the overall compact size of the robot, as well as to accommodate a wide range of low to high cabinets.
